Read this if you’re in your mid-twenties and haven’t been in a relationship
Maybe you just graduated college or maybe you’ve been focused on your career
for a few years. From time to time, you wonder what it would be like to be in a
relationship.
Your
answer to your family’s questions about your love life are as automated
as your voicemail and third and fifth wheeling is now the normal.
For
some, they’ve never minded the single life. For others, it means the world that
they find someone special.
To you, relationships can look a little mysterious. As if love can be likened to playing
a game except the rules are in a different language and you didn’t even know
there were rules to begin with.
For the
one who hasn’t been in a relationship, you know these questions all too well:
- How do people get in
relationships?
- Do people really text/talk to each
other everyday?
- How is it supposed to feel when you’re in one?
For now, you keep on doing what you do. Living life, enjoying all the things you love, and learning about what you like and don’t like and what you want and don’t want.
You
find yourself in the process and it makes you better, so when you do get in a
relationship, you’ll have a gut feeling and know the time is right and with
the right person because it’ll be seamless. All
those questions and doubts you had before will fizzle out because you learned
that you are the one who creates the “rules” and there doesn’t have to be any
rules to love.
